Bergen County is New
Jersey’s playground and shopping ground. The Meadowlands Sports
Complex is located here and is home to several professional sports
organizations, such as the New York Jets, New Jersey Nets, and the
Metrostars. Some of the world’s best known companies make
their home in Bergen County, including Mercedes Benz, BMW, Ernst
& Young, Shiseido, Sharp Electronics, Sony, Panasonic, Samsung,
Mellon, Morgan Stanley, Movado, Rolls Royse, Sprint, KPMG, Volvo,
and Federal Paper Board. Bergen County towns, such as Paramus, have
one of the highest numbers of retail stores per square mile in New
Jersey. Garden State Plaza boasts over two hundred seventy shops.
Bergen County is located on the Hudson River. New York City is a
short drive over the George Washington Bridge. Many of Bergen County’s
towns are small and quiet, yet offer the convenience of proximity
to New York City, local jobs, and great shopping. Local colleges
include Bergen Community College, Fairleigh Dickinson University,
Felician College, and Ramapo College of New Jersey. Major highways
that pass through Bergen County include the New Jersey Turnpike,
Routes 17, 3, 4, 46, and 21. The Sheraton Meadowlands Hotels contains
